The Stones of Eternal Life
Significance
The Fourteen Stones of Eternal Life are the repository of elven souls that ensure that elves are reborn in each new generation. With the fall of the Eldar, however, most of the Stones have been lost, and Souls that were within the stones (referred to as "Behind the Veil") only trickle slowly back into Tol-Lorak. These are the most important elvish religious and cultural artifacts. Such is their importance that the priests of the Eldar Ascendancy do not deny their use even to their rivals, such as the Lords of Aeterna or the Paradisans, though they certainly are afforded lesser preference.

Unique Artifact
Rarity
Only Fourteen such stones were ever constructed, one corresponding to each Leviathan Zodiac. At the time, this was considered to be more than needed and viewed as a devotional act, though there are so few with known whereabouts now so as to prevent their efficient use. Of the Fourteen constructed, 6 are known to now be underseas (though one had been placed their already in the underwater city of Atlelda), one is secured by the Eldar Ascendancy, 2 are believed to still be roughly in place in Itumeriel, and the locations of five are entirely unknown. Even rumors of one being located are enough to draw hundreds if not thousands of adventurers and warriors from all of the elven nations, hoping to claim and restore it to use.
