Personal history
Tanhin Tamyr lead the first wave of freed Gnommish slaves above ground and into the Gnommish Vale. Prior to and after this, he worked tirelessly representing the needs of the Gnomes to the Council of Clans, securing initial concessions with ease over the objections of the Lost Clan. His impressively coordinated work stoppages accomplished with the support of already abolitionist clans forced the hands of other Clans, and lead to the stepwise abolition of Gnommish slavery.
Tanhin Tamyr was initially named as a Clan Gnome of Clan Kundar in order to head off tensions between the Gnomes and their Dwarven masters, but a failed assassination attempt in 358 revealed conspiracy with the Lost Clan-and total noncompliance with the Order of Abolition. When they refused to pay Kengeld to Tamyr, and insisted that holding Gnomes as chattel was merely a way of preserving their old faith and culture, open conflict broke out between the clans in the Dwarkun civil war.
Arrayed against all eleven other clans with only a few volunteers crossing the line to their side (and many more crossing the other way), the war was quickly lost for the Lost Clan, and they fled deeper into the mountains, from whence they continue to maintain their secretive war against the rest of the Dwarven Clans-and the Clan Gnommadar which replaced them in the Council.
