Ro Heyddyoq Vishlu Duurush is a sailor and lieutenant in the Biinamii Navy, currently serving aboard the ice-breaking frigate Gajaraqlin. Notable for her grasp of multiple languages and her employment of Necromancy in tending to deceased crew members, her position aboard Gajaraqlin is her first posting as a lieutenant.
 

History

Born in Biin to a merchant family, Vishlu spent much of her childhood on the east coast of Thurásin accompanying them for work. While staying in Lawaguum, she was tutored in basic magic by a merfolk named Zla'à, who the next summer agreed to teach her basic necromancy as well.
  She returned to Biin with her family as a teenager, and resolved to follow her love of sailing into a role in the Biinamii navy, rather than following her parents into mercantile logistics. Accepted as a midshipman in 31 Return (8 Years Ago), her necromantic experience came in handy after the death of a crew member during a pirate action. Leaving behind no known relatives or contacts, she offered to speak to his ghost, and her success with this task quickly led to tending the dead being her unofficial duty.
  While not considered a remarkable officer, this talent distinguished her among her peers, and ensured she easily found transfers when ships were laid up. The additional experience gained enabled her to eventually pass her lieutenant's exam in 38 Return, and her captain recommended her for a position on the soon-to-be commissioned Gajaraqlin. This accepted, she assumed her post as 3rd Lieutenant on the 12th of Vengeance, 39 Return.
 

Social Ties

Vishlu is the oldest of three children and is the child of a human and an elf, though she is said to take more strongly after her mother. Both her parents were merchants who specialised in trading with eastern countries like Lawaguum, though her father has retired and her mother now travels more local routes. Her younger sister now sails with her mother, while her youngest brother continues his studies on land.
  In her time in the Biinamii Navy, she has made a handful of friends, the most important being Captain Qaruyk Sisqunyajil, under whose recommendation she was appointed to Garaqlin. She considers her 4 years aboard his ship Qyiwaan the current highlight of her service.
