Disaster / Destruction
After many years of fighting between the Elves and the dwarves, the gods became tired of and angry about the conflict between the two races and made the decision to split the continent in two to stop the fighting.
The gods grew tired of and angry about the thousands of years of war between the Elves and the dwarves and because of this, they decided to split the continent on which they both lived into two continents. Mighty earthquakes struck the land, causing great fissures in the earth and moving the two halves of the continent from each other. The empty space was quickly filled with water. This event came to be known as the Sundering and caused much damage and destruction to the settlements of both races. The gods left a couple of small land bridge between the two continents in the south hoping that the two elder races could use it communicate and trade without warfare.
