Krusvo-Mevta

Dwarven Kingdom of the Copper Hills

The dwarven kingdom of Krusvo-Mevta is ruled by the innovative Clan Copperfoot. The dwarves of Clan Copperfoot are well known for their ingenuity, tinkering, and experimentation. This focus is the reason why hierarchy and nobility are much less important than they are in other dwarven kingdoms. While dwarven societies always have some degree of meritocracy, the lands of Clan Copperfoot are even more meritocratic than other dwarven lands. This meritocratic streak extends all the way to the succession ruler of the kingdom. The ruler of Clan Copperfoot is determined by a contest of invention between the children and nieces and nephews of the previous ruler which is voted on by a council of elder inventors.   The Copper Hills are very rich in copper, but lacks large quantities of the other precious and strategic metals except for tin. This lack of traditional dwarven resources is what has caused Clan Copperfoot to experiment and innovate. They trade their knowledge and crafts made from copper and bronze for the other metals and materials that they need. The dwarves of Krusvo-Mevta have a very good and strong relationship with the halflings of the Richlands.
