The Duskblades
An assassin guild in Osrego, in the west of Molegro. A temple to Kiana hidden beneath the city, functioning as a base of operations
Structure
Grandmaster- Serving as the guild’s sole leader, the Grandmaster has the final say on all matters in the guild, including alliances, punishments and operations.
Deathbringer- Expert assassins who take on the most dangerous and high-paying contracts. They are also tasked with training promising recruits. Few Deathbringers also run a subsection of the guild in other cities across the world.
Night Blade- Fully initiated guild members who carry out standard contracts. They are the backbone of the guild, handling both assassinations and support tasks like reconnaissance and sabotage. While being fully initiated members, they are skilled yet still work on bettering their skills.
Veilwalker- Promising recruits undergoing training in stealth, weaponry, poisons, and infiltration. Veilwalkers are assigned to Deathbringers for mentorship.
Unseen- Newcomers who have shown potential but have yet to prove themselves. They perform menial tasks, serve as scouts, and complete basic missions to earn trust. Unseen are incredibly secretive members, having their existence in the guild only known to the Grandmaster and Deathbringers.
Deathbound- Members who have broken the rules of the guild or have failed in multiple critical operations. Deathbound are often sent out on missions that are likely to kill them, and also humiliating jobs such as serving as guards or labourers to remind them of their fall from silent grace.

Public Agenda
The Duskblades don’t deal with the public often but do take jobs for those outside of the guild for a higher fee through middlemen who work within the guild.
History
Silas Veilshadow, the current leader, once worked within the Shadowhawks under the leadership of Fenfark Helmyn. Silas was a very skilled thief but had a bit of a reputation within the Shadowhawks for making his jobs messier than necessary, often killing opposition during jobs rather than just escaping them.
Rather than just exiling Silas, Fenfark had decided to propose a change in direction for Silas’ career. In the year 83 AES, Silas was sent out on a job to steal from the royalty of Molegro, where Silas was officially killed. Unofficially, however, he had left the guild in peace to create the Duskblades, with a full partnership with the Shadowhawks. The Duskblades in the beginning had just dealt with dirtier jobs that the Shadowhawks didn’t want to touch in case it would tarnish their reputation. It was jobs that involved stealing from close allies of the Shadowhawks that Silas had taken a liking to, a form of treachery, backstabbing even.
In 84 AES, Silas had gotten bored with the thievery, proposing a change of his own to Fenfark. This change was held in great regard and signified a large change within the two guilds. The Shadowhawks would no longer deal with jobs involving murder, and the Duskblades would only take jobs that would involve things getting messy, whether that be murder or intimidation of stores within Osrego.
Not much is known of the Duskblades’ history after 85 AES, however, it is known that Silas has never been seen by any of the members, aside from a few higher-ranking Deathbringers.

As quiet as a shadow, and twice as deadly.
