U Sniper

A type of sniper rifle used by the HEX Mainframe.   The U-sniper fires streams of high power electrons at the target. Although these sorts of particle cannons dont normally have a large range, the weapon fires comparatively few electrons but fires them at extremely high power at relativistic velocity. This gives them an extremely long travel range as (relative to the electrons themselves) the distance to target shrinks due to length contraction which allows it to be used as a sniper rifle.   Although the electrons will deflect from magnetic fields, it can hit unshielded targets. It will damage armoured vehicles, but is more effective against organic targets. The weapon is powered by capacitor battery that is capable of storing a large amount of power. Another advantage that capacitors have is that they can discharge their entire charge in mere moments, which is required for this weapon.  The U was designed to be easy to carry and use by both the HM mechanical and organic forces. This has made the weapon a feared possibility hanging over the heads of enemy forces almost constantly, as U snipers could be located anywhere at any time.
