Thunder - Class Battleship

Battleship as used by the Alti Dominion. The Thunder - class is armed to the teeth with rapid fire railguns. The Thunder Class was designed after the need arised for a breakthrough force with heavy armour and overwhelming firepower. The Thunder - Class would later specialise in the latter, although it's armour and CIWS defences would be powerful as well. It also has a shield, but not anything close to what the Hyperion Federation can build.   The Thunder - class is more likely to be energy intensive than ammo intensive logiscally, in stark contrast to some other battleships which have large numbers of weapons with a high fire rate, which is especially possible on Alti ships due to Time Dilation Device technology. The Thunder-class serves a role similar to that of most battleships of both the Alti and other star nations - making use of its heavy firewpoer and large size to attack enemies form long range and break through heavy enemy defences. As a battleship primarily equipped with railguns, it is more likely to remain at very long ranges and punch a large number of holes in the targets. These railguns are quite likely to penetrate thick enemy armour.    To protect its reactor, the fusion reactor is built in the rough center of the ship and within its own armoured compartment. These bulkheads are known to be strong enough to deflect incomming rounds, making them penetrate further into the ship but not destroying the fusion reactor. The fusion reactor is quite large, due to the high power use of the many powerful railguns. The Thunder also requires ammunition however, which is provided in large quantities in relatively small boxes which allows it to remain operational for a long time on a single ammunition crate. This is stored quite far from the fusion reactor in a seperate armoured compartment as to not risk damaging the fusion reactor.The Thunder is quite vulnerable against enemy long range anti heavy options, or any anti heavy weapon that can close the gap safely. It is always escorted by lighter ships as well as a full invasion force for this reason, allowing Alti forces to make use of ewar in order to avoid fire.
