Theta Yaros III

Theta Yaros III is a warm barren planet with a fairly hot atmosphere and a strong magnetosphere which retains most of the atmosphere despite its heat (and pressure). A planet of the Theta Yaros System.

As a barren planet it is mostly featureless aside from various natural geological features such as mountains and valleys. Because of this, it appears almost entirely brown-grey from orbit.

Though the planet is too hot, and the atmosphere pressure being too high for most organics, the Zikrat Scientific Citizenry have managed to establish mines fairly easily because all of its people are now robotic Zikrat. 

There are a variety of materials that can be extracted from this planet. Though the yields are not extremely high in comparison to lava planets, they are large enough for the ZSC to establish various mines and colonies. There are also a number of large factories on Theta Yaros III. This is a highly advantageous location to build them because of the lack of water on the planet so metals tend to rust slower, and because of the massive expanses of otherwise empty land that is cheaper to build on. The ZSC had to ensure the factories were more well automated than those on other planets though, as Theta Yaros III still has a fairly small population even in the current day due to its lack of features.

This planet is fairly weakly defended due to the low population and low value of the planet in comparison to others in nearby systems.
