T'rala'tal - Class Battleship

Class of large military starships used by the Sulethis Republic.   The T'rala'tal - Class is the primary go to vessel when the Sulethis Republic military needs a powerful breakthrough force. This is primarily due to its strong armour and powerful secondary and primary armament.    Though it's shield isn't extremely strong, the armour makes up for this, even in a battleship. The majority of weapons will bounce off it even on weak point hits and the ship itself is virtually immune to asteroids that are smaller than itself unless they travel at extremely high speed. This makes it a formidable opponent even against a Hyperion Federation starship. It was designed to survive counter-batrery fire from enemy artillery and resist missile attacks through a large number of CIWS lasers mounted in many areas on the hull.   However most of its power lies in its large railgun armament. This can destroy most starships in a single shot and cripple anything short of a star annihilator. Even those would take heavy damage from such a powerful weapon. A railgun of this scale is often used to eliminate enemy heavy ships and stations at long range allowing other SR forces to engage with more effectiveness. This makes the battleship an important starship on the battlefield.   All this comes with sacrifices to other areas though. It has little in the way of ewar and is quite slow. As such they are only used with large escorting forces and very carefully.
