Sralarka IX
Planet located in the Sralarka System which is owned by the Grand Artanat Empire.
Sralarka IX is an ice giant and one of the few planets in the system that has not been made habitable. Instead, the GAE extracts the heavy gases such as oxygen from the ice giant. Although this world is not as useful as others here, the GAE still defends it as losing this planet would give enemies a station to set up a forward operating base on - which cannot be tolerated in a system like this.
Though Sralarka IX has only a small population orbiting it in various stations, the gas giant extraction stations are highly automated and continue to extract valuable gas on few crew members. However, if more workers are required, they can move some to this world. For example, when repairs are necessary. The GAE had to spend a lot of resources for expensive technologies to build such unique gas giant extraction stations, possibly taking inspiration from HF stations with similar roles. Due to being very carefully managed, no stations have had any accidents significant enough to destroy a station.
Sralarka IX, strangely, orbits at an axis that is extremely out of plane relative to other orbits. It is also quite ellipticular, making this world a subject of scientific theory and study.
