Soulsteel

Tough metallic material exclusively used by the Accuilax Purifiers. While normally the material is about as strong as steel, it can be infused with the souls of people using a Soul Liquifier, which makes it much stronger. This is one method the Purifiers often use to kill, as it helps them with their conquest and because it makes the souls suffer immensely for the duration they are absorbed in the material.
If the material is destroyed, the souls are released as Ghosts.   Soulsteel can, rarely, take on some traits of the species of those infused into it. For example, a large number of Xalarin can make Soulsteel highly resistant to fire and heat based weapons, as long as very few species with that weakness are infused. This would also make the Soulsteel weaker at very cold temperatures however. This can make the material quite adaptive, as long as the Accuilax Purifiers selects the correct population to infuse. With the sheer number of species in the Fortrais Galaxy Cluster, the number of traits they can apply to the material is very high. The Hyperion Federation military is considered much more adaptable due to being able to modify while in action. The process behind manufacturing Soulsteel is relatively large and expensive in comparison to some other materials the AP often use. Due to its sheer effectiveness, it is still used in most military ships as armour. Manufacturing Soulsteel makes use of materials such as gold and iridium which are quite expensive, and it is a multi step process. It is not only used as starship armour. It can be used in some high end applications, even in supercomputers, if the AP choses to infuse a population of hyperintelligent beings. As such, it can be seen all over AP society.   Infused Soulsteel can also vibrate under even medium heat, safe for humans to touch. This is one way the AP often uses to identify infused Soulsteel from non-infused Soulsteel. The vibrations can also produce slightly different tones depending on the nature of the souls that inhabit it which allow the Accuilax to determine where it specializes, if it does. For example allowing them to determine what is heat resistant Soulsteel.
