F.P.C
Average size Freelancer Starship.
F.P.C is unique for being one of very few freelancers that is also Hybrid Starship. With an estimated biofactor of about 0.3, they are mostly mechanical but their organic components make up a significant portion of the ship, and designed to withstand the extreme g-forces that freelancers are often subject to. They are an incredibly versatile and adaptive freelancer who can perform almost any given role effectively as their partially organic body allows them to grow organically. It is known that it takes time, energy and matter plasma to grow into a new form however.
As the Hybrid Starships are still in a very experimental stage, F.P.C is still very young even compared to the age of other organic species, let alone the age of other freelancers. As such, they are inexperienced in battle, which is where F.P.C wants to contribute to. They are sent to many battle simulators so that they can become more experienced, though F.P.C. still has not attained the level of ability of other freelancers yet, and is expected to surpass them eventually following advances in technology and biotechnology.
Still quite young, they are mostly carefree and are still subject to mistakes quite often. It is predicted that they will require a long time to grow out of this stage. They have not yet been subject to a real battle, and are thus mentally unprepared for it despite F.P.C seemingly yearning for battle. They seem to have a vested interest in large explosions, so they currently have large cannons on their body. The Hyperion Federation has to be quite careful with them.
F.P.C is also still experimenting with weapon and shield loadouts, as well as experimenting with its own body as well to establish its fighting style and create a body that is perfected to that style. Perhaps at this point, they will have established a role in HF military forces but due to F.P.C being so experimental, it is unknown how the project will end up in the future.
The partially organic components allow it to process some situations without any rigid answer more easily than machines can, so that individual components may make decisions to best optimise functionality of the wider body. Apart from this, many of its components work similar to those of other HF starships, for example F.P.C. has photon thrusters, antimatter annihilation cores and replicator nanobots. They lack matter plasma tanks, but matter plasma is stored in the blood at a concentration that will not explode if hit which would probably make F.P.C much better protected.
They were initially built in the Delta Antilae System (near the Tiact System) in a large starship replicator in 43993, so currently F.P.C is 7 years of age. They have been sent through intergalactic gates many times for training in many locations in many galaxies and against a wide variety of enemies. Some of these training sessions were designed to defeat F.P.C, so that they could learn from defeat and learn how to handle it, and make a comeback that would remove an enemy force from the area.
