Dragon

Non-sentient species of Mauray. They are your typical dragon (how original). They can come in many forms, but the fire - breathing one is the most common. Different forms can breathe ice, acid, create extreme voltages (shoots a lightning strike from its mouth).
They are far too large to fly on their own. They require a large amount of Magic for their bodies to work. As such they are well magically attuned.
They can come in many colours and sizes depending on their element and age respectively. The very oldest dragons can be many thousands of years old and grow to immense sizes not unlike those of titanic lifeforms of Tebburus. These huge creatures must consume a lot of food in order to not starve and are often seen eating other dragons. Older dragons are also more powerful magically and are essentially immense forces of endless consumption. Inhabitants of Mauray can never kill them without incredibly strong equipment which has not been built before, though the HF in orbit around Mauray would probably have a weapon that coculd kill one. Very strict non-interference laws prevent them from doing that though.
They can reproduce in several different ways, but the most common are through laying eggs and giving birth live. Regardless of subspecies, there are always a male and female sexes. The youngest, newborn dragons are quite small, though still larger than an adult human. At this stage, humans are still too large for them to eat but an adult dragon would swallow a human relatively easily. It normally takes them about 30 years to grow to adult size and very few survive to the extremely powerful elder stage. Some nations have managed to tame dragons, mostly Elves and Eptha, but they are present in other species forces as well, mostly for their magical powers and large size. The ability of dragons to fly is also quite powerful.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

Dragons reproduce very slowly. This results in a low population of dragons. They require a lot of focused magic to reproduce. It can take years to recover that amount of energy for both parties.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Due to their huge size and intense use of magic, their bodies require a lot of energy. Dragons can eat almost any biological matter that it can swallow, save for plant matter.
