This ancient (~750 year-old) city is the largest city in the ɛɭⱱɛɳ nation of Attractae. It sits near the Northwestern end of the Salamande Highway in Attractae just past the Gusset (Lizardlands). Located just inland from the Western coast of the Attractae peninsula, Dunhamati is the last settlement in Attractae before crossing into the Lizardlands. It is in the midst of the moderately canopied tropical forest that dominates the Western half of the Lizardlands, east of the Gusset, sometimes known by the ancient Celtic name "Forest of Rogues." While it is about 7 miles inland, it is situated at the headwaters of the Dunham River, which is navigable from Dunhamati west to the port city of Jaellari'ith. The length of the navigable part of the River is about 10 knots (12 miles) long. Home to the priestesses and central authorities of most of the major creeds of ɛɭⱱɛɳdom, there is a fair amount of competition between them. The Hostage
A local criminal male ɛɭⱱɛ called "Moesenaith the Irrational" has taken a young noble girl from Dunhamathi hostage, and fled into the jungle nearby. Dunhamathi is offering a sizable reward for Bishikyi Berth's return and the criminal's capture, before the "Irrational One" violates the young Lady.
The Lost Relic
A local priestess (ɛɭⱱɛɳ spiritual therapist), upon hearing that a group of able individuals are in town, reaches out to them to help find a religious relic once thought lost.
The relic has already been found, and is in the possession of a religious rival, and another group of priests is on its trail as well.
This priestess, an younger, tomboyish ɛɭⱱɛ named Baṭikmiy Sear has been researching the artifact for decades. Finally, an obscure purchase order for a coffin leads her to believe the artifact was buried with the corpse of a ɛɭⱱɛɳ Lady who may have owned it, and she will pay the adventurers generously to do a bit of grave-robbing. She assures them that, in the eyes of her religious order, no sin will be committed.
Of course, she's not the only one looking for this thing - a golden goblet inlaid with runes of scrimshaw. A rival church of the same god wants it as well, and has dispatched a group of their own to recover it, led by an uncompromising warrior-priestess named Sionedi Boan'n.
Complicating things further, the body (and the artifact) have already been excavated, and are in the possession of a third rival church, this one diametrically opposed to the Baṭikmiy Sear's. The goblet is in the hands of that church's champion, an unyielding were-boar named Becumarta the Tiresome as she attempts to subjugate local villages.

• Bedwyrani Muirealle is planning to flaunt her newfound wealth by constructing a lofty building in the center of town. It will be not just bȉnḍű - ʝχ (twelve) but shűḍű - ÿχ (twenty-four) stories tall, so it towers over all others.
• A group of hooded and cloaked strangers have showed up in Dunhamathi and seem to be searching for someone.
