Arc 2 - Episode #068

On his way to see Tamlin Craykill Marrek turns a corner and bumps into The Royals in the hall. They pass amiably and go about their business.

When Marrek returns, he explains to the group about The Royals, the Finger of Vecna and why he has been acting the way he has. Variis takes the news harshly feeling he has been lied to and wanders away from the group.

Meanwhile, Klara, Iris and Jody are still in the library. Iris researches while Klara discusses the Royals with Judy.

Eliwrath catches up to Variis and convinces him to come back to the group while Marrek talks to Tamlin about a way to sidetrack The Royals.

AvAlan wanders around trying to find Marrek to bring him to the spa but decides to sit on a bench and wait for him. He is approached by an old man who introduces himself as Darius and asks him to come with him. AvAlan follows Darius to his apartment/lab. When they arrive, Darius asks AvAlan to sit and straps him into a chair and puts a contraption on his head. After some conversation and several electric zaps to the head, AvAlan breaks his bonds and attacks Darius. Quickly overcoming the old man, AvAlan eventually strangles the old man and stuffs his body in a truck before leaving.

Marrek, having successfully stalled The Royals as much as he can, he makes one more trip to see Judy and offers to allow her to do research on him in exchange for funding their expedition to find the 'hub' which she agrees to do.
