A hundred years have passed since the end of Arc 5, and the continent of Ellara slumbers beneath a shroud of endless winter. Once, the skies cracked with fire and fury as the last great black dragon Aru’thamar clashed with the mages of Uman’Yiro in a battle that shook the mountains themselves. Though the dragon endured, her grief spilled from her in a storm of arcane breath—a mournful cry known now as The Long Roar. Its echo lingers still, tainting the earth, freezing the winds, and reshaping Ellara into a continent of silence and snow.
Now, in the year 1378, the world is quieter, but no less dangerous. Forests are cloaked in frost, cities reborn or ruined, and strange evolutions stir in the dark. Rumors speak of a dying dragon, of contraband trails that slither past frozen borders, and of ancient powers whispering beneath the ice. In the north, in the fortified walls of Winterhaven, a single adventuring party takes its first steps into this changed land. The age of empires is gone. This is the age of frost and forgotten things—and the world watches to see what new legends will rise from the cold.
