Tanarukk
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
They are fury without cause. Flame without heat. A warning from the gods of what happens when rage and sorcery are bound without wisdom.Tanarukk is a corrupted strain of orc, whose lineage has been tainted by the blood of Demons.
Basic Information
Biological Traits
Tanarukk are hulking brutes with scorched skin, jagged tusks, and horns that curl like molten iron. Their eyes burn with an unnatural glow, and their breath stinks of sulfur and ash. Their bodies seem to burn with inner heat, and some bear scorched symbols etched into their hides, marks of the demon lords whose essence still writhes within them.
Genetics and Reproduction
Their birth is not natural but forged, often in cruel pits beneath shattered temples or in demonic summoning chambers where young orcs are corrupted before they draw their first breath.
In recent year, since Gontal reemergence in the 11th century, there are many reported cases that orcs have often Tanarukk children, but unlike the Devilish experiments, they are more like Demon blood.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Among traditional orcish tribes, Tanarukk are feared and revered in equal measure. Often used as shock troops or berserk champions during war. However, their unpredictable nature means they are rarely trusted as they often take leadership position.
Civilization and Culture
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Tanarukk are almost universally violent. They lack the discipline of orcs and the guile of fiends, instead operating with unthinking brutality. Most have no patience for strategy or politics, making them dangerous but unreliable soldiers.
History
The Tanarukk are the twisted echoes of Orc-kind, bred through rituals that bind orcish savagery with the dark cunning of Devilish blood. Originally spawned by warlocks and infernal cults during the bleak centuries of Gontal, the Tanarukk were created as living weapons - fused in flesh and soul with the horrors of the Acheron until they spread through sorcery quite along all of Theras quite hastily as Ilneval intervened everywhere he could.
