Sheyruushk
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Beneath Stygia’s frozen crust lies Sheyruushk, the Infernal hunting ground and divine dominion of Sekolah, the shark-god of predation and slaughter. Vast chasms and black-water trenches stretch endlessly into darkness, patrolled by endless legions of his sahuagin petitioners. These worshippers arrange themselves in flawless geometric formations around their deity—perfect circles, spirals, and angular ranks that resemble the hunting patterns of sharks in deep currents. Any petitioner who falters or breaks formation is devoured without hesitation, their fate serving as both punishment and example.
Sheyruushk is both a fortress and a breeding ground for aquatic fiend armies. From here, sahuagin hosts can surge upward through Stygia’s ice-rent seas, or slip through the planar rifts into Fiendish oceans for raids and invasions. Sekolah’s dominion thus serves as one of the Nine Hells’ few aquatic strongholds, making Stygia uniquely positioned to wage war both above and below the waves.
Geography
The waters of Sheyruushk are frigid, crushing, and without light. Colossal pillars of ice descend from the surface like inverted mountains, riddled with tunnels where predatory eyes gleam in the dark. Abyssal fissures link the realm to the depths of the Abyss, allowing tides of fiendish influence to seep in. These rifts are responsible for the unnaturally high number of hybrid monstrosities that haunt the trenches, half-fiend sahuagin, demon-touched sea serpents, and other horrors that blend mortal flesh with abyssal corruption.
Inhabitants
Sheyruushk is the afterlife for most kuo-toa and sahuagin, who manifest here exactly as they were in life, their fanaticism sharpened by death. The sahuagin serve Sekolah as hunters, guards, and living ornaments to his divine court. Alongside them swim countless other terrors:- Half-fiend sahuagin hybrids spawned from Infernal unions.
- Fiendish sea predators such as myrmyxicuses, skulvyn, piscoloths, and wastriliths.
- Natural but monstrous leviathans like dire sharks, krakens, giant squid, and shadowed octopuses that can envelop entire sahuagin warbands.
