Archfey

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Archfey are certain Fey who are noteworthy for their unique properties; "what makes an archfey" is a difficult question to answer, and the topic is still debated. Most discussions eventually boil down to a frustratingly vague "you'll know an archfey when you'll see one", though even that definition is misleading.   Archfey are revered and sometimes worshipped, though the latter is rare among denizens of the Prime Material Plane. Archfey vary greatly in their power level; some are on par with Demi Powers, some are rivaled by Idols, some are no more powerful than an average adventurer, and some aren’t powerful at all.

Roles and Powers

Some archfey fulfill a role within the feywild.   A few of them have no role and aren’t any more powerful than their kin.
In the Prime, you have kings and emperors,
high priests and legendary warriors,
deranged wizards and imprisoned villains.
In the Feywild, we have the Archfey.
Regardless of their own power, archfey can bestow mortals with the ability to cast magic by making a pact. Several archfey, namely and most famously Helena, can grant their worshippers magical abilities through their divinity.
Archfey are, broadly speaking, impossible to kill. Each archfey has a nemesis, a specific surefire way to kill them; attempting to kill an atchfey in any other way will invariably fail. They may be overpowered, defeated, beaten to a pulp and disintegrated, but they will not die and will regain full function before long.

    Becoming Archfey

There are three things that may make a fey into an archfey; the first two are easy to understand, while the third is... different.
    1) Capabilities
A fey may be an archfey if they are capable of unique and powerful feats. Two examples for uniqueness include The Uncurser and The Wish Seer, and an example for sheer power is the goddess Helena.
    2) Status
A fey of a certain status may be an archfey, especially if they have a seat of power. For example, Queen Titania or The Old Lady of the Tales.
    3) Recognition
Fey who are exemplars of their species, performed a unique feat, or are otherwise noteworthy may be an archfey. For example, Lagnos.
