Antanarukism
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Antanarukism is a rare metaphysical condition that manifests in certain Orc or Half-Orc. It marks a divine transformation of both body and spirit, aligning them towards Good. Those who undergo this condition gradually adopt features and abilities akin to Aasimar, while retaining aspects of their orcish heritage.
Antanaruk orcs often see themselves as living redemptions and call themselves High-Orcs; not rejecting their orcish nature, but elevating it. Where Tanarukk are consumed by rage and shadow, Antanaruk embrace resolve, balance, and purpose. They frequently become mediators, guardians of sacred sites, or itinerant sages who preach that strength need not mean domination. Though some view them with awe, others, espacially other orcs, see them as hereitcs or traitors to Gruumsh.
Culture of the Antanaruk Orcs
The society of the High-Orcs centers around the mastery of self. Where other orcs revel in battle frenzy, High-Orcs train their emotions as they would a blade, channeling rage into resolve, fury into focus. They teach that strength without clarity is ruinous, and that every action must serve the greater harmony.Manifestations
High-Orcs usually in similarity to celestial beings, they have a radiant blood, eyes glowing like an Aasimar and an aura, which those who master it, can either bestow calmness, clarity or hope upon their surroundings. The High-Orcs are more powerful than their counterparts and have better agility, health and more wiser than most orcs.Causes
It is no simple matter to be affected by this, as this also affect your children; Usually an orc is only transformed after a great resurrection spell was done by a good deity as was recorded by Reid, the Champion of Helios or by worthy cause, or when an orc was affected by a large and overwhelming amount of Positive Energy or blessed by the Divine gods.
It should be noted that this condition can be passed down to their children, however, each birth is two years, thus - extremely rare.
History
Scholars speculate that Antanarukism was not inherited, but awakened — a spark ignited through profound moral reckoning, divine intervention, or proximity to celestial phenomena. Its name derives from Antanaruk, meaning the unchained orc in Old Menedynnish, and is believed to be the antithesis of the Tanarukk, who represent infernal corruption of orcish essence.
The first High-Orcs were first recorded in öLond Celtira, but vanished after The Gods War and are presumed to be extinct. However, there are few more cases of awakening such as Reid the Champion of Helios, in 1,051 AB.
