History
Before the Grovans came, the elves of Lile were similar to the other two branches. They were welcoming and warm, having had good relations with others that respected their boundaries. West Branch was filled to the common workers, builders, servants, caretakers, and soldiers of the branches. It was them who kept the daily routines of the Grove running. West Branch was the lowest of the branches, and had more citizens than the others. So they built more housing units than the others, only in West Branch would you find the Petals, their hanging houses.
But after the humans arrived, the west branch elves had to deal with men who did not listen and cut down to many trees, hunted more than they needed, and sometimes attacked the elves. It boiled to a head eventually, and the elves enacted strict rules on anyone entering their territory who was not elven. The men who came tried to settle in their forest anyway, after a large group of them had already been kicked out. The elves began ambushing them before they could cut down everything, burning down their settlement. These events repeated themselves enough for the elves to grow sour towards men, and for them to adopt a more martial nature.

Architecture
While they still use traditional elven architecture, they have their Petals that are unique to them. Entire neighborhoods of hanging houses, either grown from or into the branches of Lile. With moss hanging from the floors, owleries and rookeries and bird nests built on the sides, vines and flowers growing from the rooftops.
