Culture and cultural heritage

Culturally they have more in common with the humans they hate than other sea creatures. But they reject most human qualities and have built their own culture. They are a raiding, murdering people who hold a vendetta for something long past.

Common Dress code

The sharks have no need for shirts and don't wear any. They mostly wear something that will cover their lower half. It's usually a material found in the sea, it can be seaweed or fish scales or a collection of coral or wood fragments pieced together.

Art & Architecture

The seaborn live in stone and whalebone structures. Covered in whaleskin and tied or frozen together.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

The sharks have become like raiders and attack boats or the Mermen. Taking what they can and retreating quickly.

Funerary and Memorial customs

A shark is frozen in death. They believe they can be resurrected and they prepare for the second coming of their army.

Common Taboos

Even though they frequently raid, they never touch children. If one shark does attack one they'll be killed if they are caught, or will be dragged to any population with the means to pass judgement and will be left there with the child, if the child survived. So the child can give testimony to that sharks crimes and to reiterate that the sharks do not harm children.
