Dwarf
Dwarves are a sapient species present in the world of Theos.
Dwarven society in Pyalea is predominantly in the form of sprawling, subterranean cavern networks. Each network is called a uamh (pronounced "oo-ahv"), with combined or pluralised networks being called uaimhean (oo-av-en).
Dwarves have an average expected lifespan of 125 years.
Dwarves generally only bear a single name, with the function of a family name being deferred to their uamh. Certain positions or professions will also hold an accompanying title, which is used in all but the most casual of contexts as a show of deference and respect.
