Aldéric the Heart Blessed
Aldéric the Heart Blessed was an elven man, founder of the The Order of the Ancient Heart, and one of the most important historical figures of the Post-Lumières Age.
Aldéric was born in the city of Alluval, under the Luisant Empire. From a young age he was a member of The Claret Order, a religious group within the city, where he rose through the ranks quickly during Le Scindere to become the leader of the order in its final days.
Though many similar attempts were made, Aldéric was the only individual successful in The Claret Order's attempt to bring forth one of the pantheon of gods to aid them in their plight. Gwenaël answered his summons, and upon seeing the true nature of torment and anguish transpiring upon Theos, tore his still-beating heart from his chest and gifted it to the order so that the world may be healed.
With these divine powers entrusted to them, The Claret Order was instrumental in bringing an end to Le Scindere after 83 years. In its wake, Aldéric - now known as "the Heart Blessed" - reformed The Claret Order, devoting their worship and practice to the god who had sacrificed and intervened on their behalf, and forming The Order of the Ancient Heart. The newly formed order claimed the stricken city of Alluval for their own, renaming it Ville Sainte du Cœur (The Holy City of the Heart), and declaring independence from the Luisant Empire so that they may aid all the peoples of Theos without bias or interference.
Aldéric the Heart Blessed became the leader of The Ancient Heart, and in time would oversee the creation of the Ascendent Saints, to lead the order as a council in his stead.
