Tekagoli Luck

What is Tekagoli Luck?

Often called a curse and only occasionally called a blessing, Tekagoli Luck is bad, but not ruinous luck. In addition to the infamous theome of Tekagol, which is saturated with Tekagoli Luck, geomancers can create Tekagoli Luck charms that saturate an individual or small group with Tekagoli Luck anywhere they go. People tend to curse the entropic parade of minor issues that these call forward, but at the same time they're profoundly protective: it's profoundly unusual to suffer a crisis under the "curse" of Tekagoli Luck. For this reason, voyagers who fear the journey they are about to undertake sometimes seek out a Tekagoli Luck charm before setting forth, so that their loved ones and most prized treasures will be okay while going along the way.

Who can create Tekagoli Luck?

As geomantic enchantments go, Tekagoli Luck charms are easily produced... assuming that one is in one of the few theomes with a Tekagoli Luck beacon, in which case copying from the beacon provides the necessary influence. Very few geomancers can produce a Tekagoli Luck charm in any other province.

Are these Charms Valuable in Trade?

In the immediate proximity of a Tekagoli Luck beacon - indeed, for a few days' flight around them - Tekagoli Luck charms are excruciatingly worthless. They are classically made with brittle ceramic and often subject to being shattered on the spot. Farther away, they are curiosities that are hard to contain, but worth rather more as people who are not used to suffering minor mishaps might feel they like the idea of crisis protection. Preventing a Tekagoli Luck charm from affecting someone is best performed with a Necromantic Box, whose infused necromantic energies prevent the charm inside it from affecting Fate.
