The Void
Void Mother Creighton (a.k.a. Realmwalker, The Keeper)
Creighton
Despite her status as a Solar, Greighton is classified as one of the old gods of Thelekar, tasked with maintaining the Far Gate near the beginning of Thelekar's existence by Maleice. This directive from the God-King she once loved meant everything to her, and her days were filled with battle and negotiation: the Far Realm pressed against the Gate with incredible pressure every day, and even the creation of a dynasty of Gods like the Gate could not stand up to the infinite weight of the Far Realm forever. The day came, however, when Creighton was caught off guard by the machinations of a particularly clever Uvuudaum. Knowing that killing the Gate Guardian would alert the rest of Aravandor to his success, he chose to trap her within the Far Realm instead, allowing it to slowly change her into the Void Goddess we know today. After the Siege of Aravandor, Khora sent his Stormguard to search for the missing Gate Guardian and ascertain any other weak points in the Divine Gate. They managed to retrieve Creighton from her prison and sealed the wall once more, but the Far Realm had done some of its best corrupting work within her mind and body. Her body was a quivering mass of flesh, bones visibly shifting underneath her skin as a new arm would appear from her lower back, or one of her legs would slowly turn until it was backwards in more than one place. Growths would slough off her back, horrible masses of twisted limbs, before rotting and becoming dust within minutes of separation from her. As she learned of the civil war that had taken place during the Siege, the madness surrounding her thoughts latched onto her grief, pushing her into a dangerous line of work: god hunting. Creighton vanished from Thelekar, her new divinity tied to the Far Realm rather than to the worship and prayer of mortality. She became a specter, so thoroughly hiding herself that when Old Gods who turned on Maleice began dying during Zero Year, she was never a suspect. These deaths were, of course, Creighton's doing. While her followers massacred a target's followers to weaken them, she would reveal herself and blast her target with concentrated corruption from the Far Realm. Doing so destroyed not only the divine, but their Mantle as well, weakening the divinity as a whole. By the time she prepared to go after Vydona, one of her primary targets, she had slain at least a dozen gods with little issue. Vydona was one of the most powerful Old Gods who chose not to join the battle, instead allowing the title of God-King to land with the more powerful combatant. Creighton believed that had Vydona joined the battle, it would have tipped the scales in Maleice's favor, preventing the Usurper Khora from slaying him. The Void Goddess decided that she would not onlykill Vydona, but punish her for her inaction. Utilizing the corrupting power of the Far Realm, she reached out to the Tarrastov Spire and flooded it with power, mutating all the Druids of Tarrastov into horrible semi-beast abominations. Knowing she could not beat the Void Mother in combat, Treemender Vydona bound the two of them together with a curse of Apathy, trapping them in a pocket dimension where they would stay for the rest of time, unable to move. Creighton cultists have popped up over the years, training enough Void Monks for the monastic art to not be lost entirely. A small sect within the Order of Aristea's Church of the Storm does make offerings to the Void Mother, though this is kept very secret, with only the highest ranking Storm Apostles learning of the practice.
