Pontifex Ukko II
Pontifex Ukko II was born during the reign of the Free Cities Alliance, and was one of many to follow Adam Eberhardt into battle against the forces of Everhold during the Turtle Rebellion. As a Church of the Storm acolyte, she was responsible for supporting the vanguard as they pushed through the gates and clashed with their countrymen of the west. This civil war taught Ukko the importance of not only peace, but choosing proper leadership to prevent such wars from happening. As a result, she recognized that the newly forming Order of Aristea would benefit from her experiences and devoted herself to her studies and faith in the Stormlord's tenants. Like many of her peers, she had the tenants tattooed upon her back as a constant reminder of the wisdom the Stormlord had passed down to his people. When Pontifex Reiner resigned his position due to his old age, Ukko was chosen as his successor despite her half-elven bloodline. The city of Voletaria has flourished ever since, even successfully rebuilding after the devastating Cindrian Plague ravaged Arith. When Kora was sent to the holy city following the wake of the plague, it was Pontifex Ukko who recognized his importance and named him after the Stormlord himself. With her tutelage and wisdom, the young man is sure to grow into a good king.
