Esoterica of Thedastria

By now you’ve seen almost all the elements of Tails of Thedastria, but you haven’t seen how they all work together. That is what this chapter is all about. First, it gives some practical advice on being a player. It starts with the basics of roleplaying and then follows that up with the remaining rules of play, giving you what you need to know when you sit down at the table. Here you will find rules for tests and challenges, narrative and action time, scuffles, stunts, friendship, and healing. After that it returns to a more advanced discussion of roleplaying for those ready to move on from the basics.   If you feel a bit overwhelmed after reading this chapter, don’t worry. You don’t need to memorize all this to play. The GM is there to help adjudicate the rules, and you’ll pick things up as you play. And while reading the rules is important, nothing is a substitute for play. It is during a live game that you’ll really see how it all fits and works together.
