Orog

The Lord of Punishment

Orog is the master of vengeance. He gives people the power to avenge themselves and those they love. He enjoys setting things right after injustices done, and he is always a supporter of the underdog.

During the reign of Yanu, he was the divine judge of the Ynue. He dealt out judgment, passed sentences, and even delivered punishments. But since at the end of Yanu's reign, his purpose has faded, he focused more on passing sentences than judging, and his punishments became more and more cruel, as his lust for violence grew.

Influence

Orog is the one responsible for the creation of wraiths. They are the bodies of people mistreated in life, the injustices done to them having gone unpunished in their life, so Orog intercepts their souls, tainting them, and sends them back to their bodies to seek vengeance. This is why wraiths can often be dealt with by letting them kill those who had tormented them in life, although this is not usually done.
Orog also influences people, encouraging them to seek retribution in life by promising them joy, fulfillment, and freedom from pain. He also answers the call of those who seek vengeance, and would seek his power to aid them, which he delivers, for a price.

Vengeance Pact

When a living human enters a pact with the lord of punishment, they sell their souls to him, and over time, each time they use his power, his influence over them grows, while someone who first receives the power might still be able to escape his entrapment, someone who has given in to temptation too many times will slip deeper and deeper under his thumb until there is nothing of them left, and there is only Orog.

Overlord

As a master, Orog promises great power, and he is able to deliver, he grants strong dark magics that enable even the feeble to seek vengeance against powerful warriors and mages, but he invades the mind of those who abuse his power, it starts with his voice, but over time, even his thoughts enter that of his subjects, and in the later stages, his personality starts to invade their mind, and eventually, there is nothing of their initial personality left.
At that point, Orog's control of them is complete, and they will be turned into raging engines of violence and everlasting vengeance, not only against those who hurt them, but against everyone even remotely associated with them, until everyone is dead.

He is able to possess multiple people at a time, although this doesn't happen very often, as people being willing to enter a deal with him are rare.

Usually, the person invaded by Orog will be killed long before they reach this point, or they will be given to Killian to be cleansed of his presence, and he is sent back into his own realm, where he belongs.
