Demons

Demon is the name given to the creatures from Mallakar's Nether realm.

They come in many shapes and sizes, but they were all created by Mallakar's own hand, and in his image. But because Mallakar is only a demi-god, and not a real one, he was unable to give them a soul, which is why they are unable to come to Yanu's world without assistance.

Hell Spawn

Demons can either be humanoid or not, but many are based on real-world animals or creatures, if twisted and dark. They can be categorized into different classes, based on size and strength, which are as follows.

Puck

Strength: Low
Size: 30-150 cm
Magic: None

These are the smallest, ranging from small dogs to dwarf-sized demons. They are not particularly powerful, but easy to summon, which is why they are the most studied of all demons.
They have no magic, relying solely on physical stength.

Imp

Strength: Medium
Size: 150-250 cm
Magic: Minor

These demons range up to the size of a large orc, or about two and a half meters. They are of middling power and can still be beaten by a skilled warrior, even if alone.
They have some small amount of magical capacity, but they are only able to cast simple, often weak, spells.

Terror

Strength: High
Size: 250-400 cm
Magic: Moderate

These large beasts range up to the size of an elephant, or four meters. They are quite powerful, and anyone would be a fool to try to take it alone.
Terrors have access to Mallakar's full magical arsenal, and they are powerful magical beings.

Leviathan

Strength: Extreme
Size: 400+ cm
Magic: Significant

These are demons larger than four meters. They are the rarest and most difficult to summon. They are very powerful and extremely dangerous.
They also have incredible magical abilities, making them a threat to even the most powerful of mortal mages.

Princes

These four classes will account for the vast majority of demons. None of these has a real mind of their own, as they are slaves of Mallakar, and operate as a hive mind, but there are also the Princes, who exist outside of this hive mind.

The demon princes have minds of their own, and unlike other demons, they do have souls, dark souls, stolen from mortals and corrupted by Mallakar to be given to his most powerful creations.
These Princes are humanoid beings ranging from dwarf to orc size, and everything in between. However, there aren't that many of them who are known to exist.

They were designed to appear like they belong on earth, but Mallakar doesn't understand what makes one human or elven, so this mostly failed.

They spend most of their time in Mallakar's nether realm, only being sent to Yanu's world to perform special tasks, or lead demon hordes. He occasionally sends one during a Mekharis cycle, just to freak people out.
