He is a 68-year-old human man with middle-parted black hair, tanned skin, and a dense salt-and-pepper beard cut professionally. He uses a set of half-moon spectacles when reading.
He is gruff, practical, easily bored by long discussions, and has observed too many magical accidents to be comfortable with them.
He is cautious and wary of spell casters and magical components which are unpredictable in nature.
