Revolution
The Brilonian Revolt was a revolt led by Lord Allos Tyn against King Orran Orthedd, the then-King of The Kingdom of the Three Cities.
After many years of suffering at the hands of King Orran, the public resentment of him and of the House of Orthedd had grown to an all-time high. Lord Allos Tyn, then-leader of the King's Guard, saw the chance for his own advancement and led a revolt in Brilon against the King. Upon hearing of the revolt, the reclusive King Orran drank a vial of poison, taking his own life, and was found dead in his quarters by members of his personal guard. This was seen as cowardice by the people of Brilon and the Three Cities, and only served to solidify Lord Allos Tyn's claim that a revolt was necessary. After being crowned King in Third Age 152, King Allos ordered the execution of the remaining members of Orran's family, resulting in the end of the House of Orthedd. Many years of violent suppression followed, and this event is seen as the beginning of the decline of the Three Cities.
