Structure

The ranks of chefs in the guild are as follows:
  • Acolyte (Apprentice cook under a Guild Chef)
  • Novice (Those undertaking their first quest)
  • Initiate (Chef without merits)
  • Fellow (One who has discovered 15 recipes or equivalent merit)
  • Forger (One who has discovered 30 recipes or equivalent merit)
  • Associate (One who has discovered 50 recipes or equivalent merit)
  • Chef (One who has discovered 100 recipes or equivalent merit)
  • Master (One who has discovered 200 recipes or equivalent merit)
  • Master Mentor (After attaining merits or sponsorship, those who train a Acolyte before higher ranks)
  • Cuisinare Council (A five seated council whose combined authority rivals the Guildmaster)
  • Guildmaster (The highest rank in the Chefs Guild after proving their ability)

Assets

The Cuisinare Compendia: This magical tome is kept securely within the vault at Batensburrow. Any time a humanoid creates a meal that is subsequently eaten, it is recorded into this recipe book. Direct contributions to the continued expansion of the book is what the members of the Chefs Guild aim for in their lifetime. Their merits earn them ribbons of merit as well as titles for their rank.

History

Originally founded in Batensburrow, the five original chefs of what would become known as the Chefs Guild began humbly. Stemming out from their home continent in Helmnos, they gained prominence around the year 950AL. Around the early millennia, they had members in all major cities across the Chaldean Ocean.

Notable members would include:
  • Jorryn Yllaleth: Member of the Sworn, rank of Initiate as of the year 1189AL.
  • Hugo Jendrick: Rank of Chef, Chef Jendrick is a master of grilled cuisine. He is noted for being present at multiple events such as the High Harvestide Turkalisque incident and the Magi Feast at Berta in Hyrune.
  • Filli Jendrick: Notable New Hopite, Filli Jendrick is the rank Forger during the time of the Sworn.
  • Nerin: Notable dungeon delver and author, Nerin has the exclusive rank of Honorer, given to those who contribute to the guild but do not benefit from full membership.
  • Strirnot: The chef at the Murderous Crab Tavern in Aubore. Rank of Fellow.
