Personal history
Nerin was born to a normal elven couple, in a normal village, with normal abilities and a lack of motivation. Despite this, Nerin was drawn to the world just the same.
When Nerin was 119, he attended an academy for promising illusionists at the behest of his family. Unmotivated by his lack of progress, he befriended a human by the name of Solca and the two made mischief in their years there, ironically improving their skills in the process. While Solca was able to graduate with the prestigious Black Sash, Nerin managed to get kicked out that very afternoon for having failed a series of high level illusionary gimmicks. Despite their gap in skill, the two remain acquaintances to this day.
A few days after turning 154, he took a poster for a delve occurring in a recently discovered dungeon. "Lasting weeks, no funding upfront, extreme conditions, but the reward will be the discovery." An idiotic proposal. It was exactly what Nerin was searching for.
Employment
During his formulative years, he worked in the kitchen of a family friend, scrubbing dishes and taking customers orders. His eyes would list to the clouds, from which the ire of the owner would respond with more tasks. Eventually, he started experimenting in the kitchen of his own boarding house. The dishes were far from savory, but they presented promise Nerin was allowed to cook from time to time for regulars. Eventually, tales of such bizarre dishes as curried owlbear in tempura and wine imbued slime skin gelatto would draw the uncanny eater from various corners of the world. Eventually running dry on business due to the limited ingredients presented in a sleepy backwater town, he packed up and made his way to the nearest city, Ayroza.

There is only one thing Nerin cannot stand- the wasting of food.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Not motivated by coin, but what comes of it. Ingredients, whose names sounded like something in foreign tongues, would be the main reason his purse is so light. Burning a hole through his funds to taste what only the daring few would find palatable, he'll do anything to sate his wanderlust for good food.
Likes & Dislikes
- Nerin has expressed a few of his likes subtly with his compatriots. While an elf whose background involves a strict plant based diet, he's come to love the tastes of cheeses and meats as well, noting it's necessity on longer treks through dungeons.
- His favorite foods can often be found in his rations: a tranche of herbed gouda, rosemary hard tac, a skin of wine, and dried assortments of raisins, apricots, and cranberries if in season.
- He has had spiced mead. It was ok.

- The character is made to be a Cantrip Master, boasting an impressive tool kit aimed at being tactical over standard pyromancer builds.
