Low Orc
'Low Orcs' are the most based (debased?) subtype of Orc on NewGen. Only slightly more intelligent than animals, Low Orcs are the savage 'cave-men' version of Orcs, making only simple stone tools, living in loose tribes, and inhabiting the dark, forgotten crags of the world. They tend to wear skins, wield clubs (or rusty swords, if they happen upon them) and bark in a simple, guttural language. Incapable of complex thought, their warbands resemble packs of wolves, exhibiting a feral sort of cunning, but no real forethought or tactics. Every other Orc subtype look down upon these Low Orcs and treat them even worse than they treat Goblins.
However, Low Orcs breed incredibly rapidly, almost unnaturally so. Given a relatively short amount of time and any source of food, Low Orcs can grow to dangerous numbers before civilized communities even know they're in danger.
If any of the Orcs breeds are inherently evil, it is the Low Orcs. Literally cursed by the Gods, they're irredeemably evil, and serve only as a source of misery, pain, and fear throughout NewGen. Barely sentient and deservedly reviled, they serve as little more than cannon fodder to most adventurers. Even the most circumspect theologians agree that no one should give a second thought to exterminating these beings without remorse or hesitation. They are monsters, not people, and should be treated as such.
Low Orcs are also known as 'Black Orcs', 'Cave Orcs', and 'Gutter Orcs'.
