Errants

Errants are an omnivorous humanoid Saurian race descended from the group humans would call 'Dromaeosaurs'. They come in a wide variety of sizes and colors, ranging from halfling size to a few heritages that would intimidate a Goliath. All are feathered to some degree, and smaller Errants may be able to glide quite proficiently. They tend towards being highly social, and are commonly found as traders or in other positions that require frequent travel due to culturally valuing Wanderlust (especially in younger Errants). They have an advantage over some Saurians in that they can travel while incubating eggs, as they tend to lay a maximum of three relatively small eggs, which are kept in the middle of the travel caravan for safekeeping. Their average lifespan is around 70 years, and so it isn't unusual for an Errant to settle somewhere more permanently once they hit 45-50. Other races may stereotype Errants as being flighty or unreliable due to their tendency to suddenly disappear, but won't deny that an Errant will welcome you in as a friend even if it's been a decade or two since they've seen you.
