The World Behind

Taking inspiration from books like Dinotopia and Journey to the Center of the Earth, The World Behind is a land that exists in the shadow of another, where 1000 years ago a meteor crashed and changed everything with the introduction of magic, and the first foreigner from another reality. Now Strangers arriving is barely news, and they find themselves swept up in the flow of this world of Saurian peoples and wild, prehistoric landscapes.

Like all places though, it's not as simple a place as it seems. Grumblings of resentment towards the disruption the Strangers' ideas cause increase by the year, murmurs of strange creatures from the equator fall on curious ears, and the vigilant never fully cease watch of the western seas, searching for signs of the descent of suffocating Darkness from legend once again...
