    Fall of Prime Minister Michael Scot's Cabinet
    Political event

    Following criticism of the opposition on the treatment of the recently arrested communist leaders and a corruption scandal prime minister Michael Scot (74) was unable to keep his coalition together, so his cabinet fell apart. After new elections in January 1920 the communist leaders were freed and founded a new communist party.
