When Krelein came to power Itheria Prime was a thriving bustling megatropolis and space and resources were beginning to become a problem. Early in his reign Ulek invented the Orbital Adjuster. Ulek's friend and business partner Etule wanted him to take credit for the invention but he did not care about credit. In the end Emperor Krelein took credit and it solidified his influence on Itheria Prime. When the orbital adjuster did its job well and the people began to migrate Krelein began to implement his dream of an grand galactic empire. He declared Itheria an Empire in 518 and immediately went off to conquer other worlds. After several small successes he engaged the Seshat Coalition and got stuck in a 10 year war. After that war ended he decided that he needed to have a quicker sneak attack in order to avoid lengthy and costly battles. The Artron Focus Conduit allowed him to drop troops quickly and quietly on a planet in the night and by morning the planet was his. Many non spacefaring planets were simply annexed and most didn't have the resources to put up much of a fight.

A representative from Coeus approached him and introduced himself as Morthri Zinta a Seer and goldsmith artisan. He said he had been told by his god to make a golden goblet because Krelein's god Dei wanted to join with him to help his conquest. He gifted Krelein a beautiful Emerald studded Golden goblet and explained that when he drank the sacred vintage wine, also a gift from Morthri, his god would inhabit his body and he would be the embodiment of Dei. He would not lose his own will or ability but would gain wisdom and power. Of course Krelein accepted this gift and as a thank you did not conquer Coeus. Instead they set up trade with the many artisans of that planet. All future emperors of Itheria drank from the goblet as part of their coronation and the only way to end the connection with Dei was to die, so when years later Cansia Krat drank from it out of turn he became Emperor and noone could remove him without killing him because of his connection with Dei.

By early 600s Krelein's Empire reached nearly across the entire galaxy. He put his best general in charge (General Meki/Future Emperor Meki) and retired to Kentrolis. When he declared Koshi Orat he was still fit enough to walk onto the battle field on his own power and gave himself in a suicide mission to help his troops gain vital information that saved Itherian troops and Threnga civilians.
