Trollgrave

A town once invaded and taken over by a band of hulking trolls. A mysterious druid helped them fight off the trolls and to this day the town watches the forest surrounding it with wary gazes.

Trollsgrave is a rugged and storied town that wears its history on its sleeve, nestled in a craggy valley surrounded by dense, shadowy forests. It takes its grim name from a dark period in its past, when trolls overran the settlement in 55 DR and ruled with brutality. But Trollsgrave’s true fame lies in the tale of its liberation, when the townsfolk, guided by a mysterious druid, reclaimed their home by the end of the next year. Trollsgrave is built atop the ruins of its former self, and its architecture reflects a defiant determination to survive. Stone walls, reinforced with sharp wooden palisades, encircle the town. Watchtowers rise at strategic points, giving sentries clear views of the surrounding forests, where trolls and other threats are said to still roam. Despite its rugged exterior, the town exudes a unique charm, with ivy-covered stone cottages, carved wooden totems, and bustling marketplaces that tell of a thriving community. A massive, ancient oak tree at the town’s center. This tree is said to have grown from a seed planted by the druid during the liberation. Its roots twist into a shrine, and its branches are adorned with lanterns and talismans.
