Broken Horn
Broken Tusk is the beating heart of the Khiravi Alliance, a vibrant and dynamic tribal center where the diverse cultures of the five tribes converge in a bustling melting pot. It is nestled in a sprawling valley surrounded by the jagged peaks of the Shardlands. Its name derives from an enormous, ancient horn—an artifact of unknown origin—that lies broken at the city’s core. This enigmatic relic, believed to have once belonged to Khiri, symbolizes the Alliance's resilience and shared purpose.
Broken Horn’s architecture is a stunning blend of the unique styles and materials favored by each tribe, creating a cityscape that is as diverse as its inhabitants. The sturdy stonework of the Karnsa forms the foundations of the village, while the towering spires and woven canopies of the Jaecyr lend an air of mystery to the skyline. The Lundar have cultivated hardy gardens and sacred groves throughout the village, bringing a touch of life to the harsh landscape. Meanwhile, the Hitara have designed elevated walkways and hidden passages, and the Skagi have adorned key structures with intricate carvings and magical sigils. At the heart of Broken Horn lies the Great Circle, a vast open plaza where festivals, ceremonies, and council gatherings take place. It is dominated by the broken horn relic itself, which serves as a sacred site and a powerful reminder of Khiri's influence over the Khiravi people.
Broken Horn is home to the Council of Five, the ruling body of the Khiravi Alliance composed of the chieftains or spiritual leaders of each tribe. The Council meets within the Horn Hall, an imposing structure that encircles the broken horn relic. Its interior is a marvel of tribal craftsmanship, with murals, tapestries, and totems that depict the shared history of the Khiravi and their struggles to unify.
