Virago Solitude

"Dropping out of hyperspace, the dark blue planet of Omereth appears half engulfed in heavy clouds. You approach the coordinates which apparently contain the prison, Virago Solitude. The ship endures heavy turbulence as it passes through its elemental namesake."

Virago Solitude was a prison located on Omereth, resting atop one of the planet's rocky archipelagos. The Galactic Empire controlled the prison until it's destruction.  

"The dark island prison hardly becomes clearer as you approach, remaining as black as its silhouette against the occasional lightning flash. A straight tower reaching up to the sky with a third of its wall entirely collapsed leaving the top floor completely open."

History

  The Prison was partly destroyed and defunct in 33/04/17 AGE by The Partisans. After releasing all the prisoners to rescue one of their own who was imprisoned there, The Partisans bombed the prison to destroy all remaining imperials.  

Dione & Ayla Teruhashi

  After participating in a slave revolt on Abafar, Dione and Ayla Teruhashi were incarcerated in Virago Solitude. When the partisans remotely released all of the prisoners, Dione initially escaped with his cellmate Karo Cist. Dione realized that Ayla had not left yet and insisted on heading back in for her, leaving Cist to escape with some other prisoners.   Ayla had made it to the third floor when Dione found her. Unfortunately, they were caught in a scuffle between the partisans and the prison guard. Dione was killed by a stray blaster shot from one of the partisans. Shortly after, when the prison collapsed, Ayla fell through the floor and became trapped on the first floor.  

Incident Investigation

  The empire performed an investigation into the insurgency and state of the prison four days after the incident. The report from ISB Agent Alysia Tosh noted multiple oddities, including electrical surges and audio disturbances.  

Haunted Virago

  Two years after the prison's partial destruction, Kokomi Teruhashi began a search for her parents. She found Karo Cist on Abafar who directed her to Virago Solitude. When there, she discovered the nature of the unnatural disturbances. Ayla Teruhashi was still alive in the bowels of the prison. Using the damaged electronics and her own voice, she could attract the keen-eared fauna. Living off of rodents in a dank ruin for years had done severe damage to Ayla's mental state.

Layout

There are a total of 13 floors that make up Virago Solitude. The first floor includes the generator and power system controls. The second floor contained staff quarters and kitchen facilities. Floors 3-13 were all prisoner containment.   Cells were identifiable by an alphabetical prefix and a numerical suffix.
The prefix identifies the floor of the cell (A through K)
The suffix identifies the place of the cell on the floor (1-32)   Karo Cist and Dione Teruhashi were held in cell B14, While Ayla was held in G29.
