The empress of the Empire of Triton is exactly what one would would expect from that martial people: hard, demanding, and fierce. She is respected by her people, feared by her enemies, and a fair amount of both by everyone else.
Physical Description
Body Features
Only by very few standards would Caestra be considered an attractive woman. She is quite powerfully built, while also possessing a deceptive agility. Her face is very wide, and features numerous light scars, while her green hair is cut short.
Apparel & Accessories
Unlike most ocean dwellers, the empress doesn't wear unrestrictive clothing. Instead she is always seen in some form of armor. Usually, she wears a ceremonial plate mail made of chuul chitin. The armor she wears in battle is very similar, only undecorated and heavily battle-scarred. In battle she carries a crude-looking trident with a powerful, but simple enchantment.

Personal history
Caestra was born in the imperial palace in Vrd-Kalron. She was the third of seven children in the imperial house Lovre. She was a sickly child, and nearly didn't survive. By the efforts of the healers, she not only survived, but thrived.
Her life as triton royalty wasn't a soft life of luxury, however. She, and all her siblings in the imperial family, served as high officers in the triton military. Not all of them survived their service.
Among her siblings, she was the most decorated, and was known as the most effective commander. When her father, the emperor lay dying he declared that she would be the next empress. She took the throne when he died, and ruled unopposed in the fifteen years since.

Empress Caestra is entirely dedicated to both the protection of her people and the destruction of her enemies. This rigid focus manifests as a sort of tunnel vision, meaning she occasionally loses sight of other matters.
