Junction
A major trading hub between the Upper and Lower Levels.
Demographics
A number of individuals of various species reside in Junction. Aside from local merchants, caravaneers are the most common source for businesses as they haul their goods. Scavers are allowed to peddle their wares so long as they didn’t procure said wares from any of Junction’s systems. Bounty hunters are allowed to operate in Junction only if they possess an official license and the seizure of their target is done in compliance with a commission distributed through the Bondsmen’s Guild.
Defences
Due to its prosperity and flow of trade in and out, Junction has a history of being harassed by bandits and pirate groups. The necessity to drive these groups off is why Junction’s security force is well-funded and well-armed.
Industry & Trade
A major trading hub for just about every industry in the Trench, the flow of six major trade routes through the city has made it wealthy from the numerous businesses conducted. From food to clothes, arms, and a few illegal trades.
Infrastructure
The residents have constructed several large marketplaces for business and trade to engage in. There is a school near the city center for resident children.
Districts
A series of bazaars are located throughout the city, hosting a number of the city's residents and merchants selling wares. These areas used to be officer living quarters for the Trench’s former guards and their families. This is why the Supernaturals have found Junction a comfortable living place. Around the city’s entrances are stables and resting grounds for trade caravans.
Below the city is a meeting of six Road Tubes that travel through the Trench at large and are what have contributed to Junction’s prosperity as major trade routes use the old road tunnels to travel.
Guilds and Factions
Junction is a fiercely independent trading post. It does its best to avoid becoming tangled in the bureaucracy of the various faction of the Trench. It allows other factions to conduct their business within its territory, so long as they abide by its laws and do not try to influence its government. The Bondsmen’s Guild has an outpost on the eastern side of the city.
Architecture
A respectable place for a variety of citizens. The city streets are teeming with vendors, gathering places, and potted plants.
Geography
Situated in between the Upper Levels and the deeper parts of the Lower Levels, Junction thrives from the several major trade routes that pass through it. Hence the name.
