66-13
66-13 (a.k.a. The Metal Killer)
A heavily modified and reprogramed Ranger security automaton that has become one of the premier assassins and mercenaries in the entire Trench. Known for its skill, strength, and its non-existent morals, 66-13 will take on any job for a reasonable fee.
Physical Description
Body Features
66-13 was built on the design of the standard Ranger security robot. Humanoid shape, with boxy heads and grasping claws in the place of hands. They were designed as fourth-degree security robots with an emphasis on combat-focused upgrades, including acid-proof servo wires, a variety of sensors to detect movement, heat, and sound as well as damage-resistant armor. Most of the Rangers were designed to be very agile to better combat enemies in close-quarters range. But that is where the similarities end.
For 66-13, most of the armor on the arms had been removed and replaced with upgrades that allow for faster and a greater range of movement. The material of the armored frame has been changed to a gunmetal-colored triple-armored hyper-alloy combat chassis. Constructed with frictionless bearings in its joints and a servo-actuated control system and can now resist most contemporary weapons with small caliber. Its body is segmented on independent axies. Allowing for its torso to turn three-hundred-sixty-degree degrees independently of its head and waist.
Its limbs are controlled by axial drive motors and clavicular trailing links.
Its grasping claws have been replaced with hands that more closely resemble a human's; with two curling fingers and a thumb. The right hand has an additional small firearm attached to the back with two snub-nosed barrels. There are an extra pair of thin appendages that normally stay folded up within slots on the sides of the torso. The purpose of these extra arms is to replace magazines of 66-13's weapons when dual wielding its guns.
A trio of optic sensors clustered in the center of its squat head, one of which has been replaced with a new lens that juts outwards. Smaller lenses form an equatorial ring, which gives the robot a three-hundred-sixty-degree view of its surroundings.
Special abilities
Bullet-resistant casing, computer USB port, a broadband radio, heat and motion trackers, and incredibly fast reflexes even by robot standards. Its targeting computers allow it to fire from the hip without substantial loss in accuracy. Because it was originally a Ranger security robot, it still maintains its skill at grappling and restraining opponents.
Apparel & Accessories
66-13 only wears a belt with desert-brown ammo pouches around its waist. It stores its various grenades and gadgets on a grey bandolier.
Specialized Equipment
66-13 commonly wields a Heckler and Koch G3 alongside a SIG SG 550 as its primary weapons of choice with an MP5 and a captured Muhkala plasma pistol as a sidearm. It stores a Glock 19 handgun in a special compartment located in its left thigh as a holdout weapon. The double barrel firearm on its right hand is chambered for 8 gauge.
It carries poison gas dispensers, flashbang grenades, a flamethrower, and fragmentation grenades.
Mental characteristics

Accomplishments & Achievements
66-13 is one of the most skilled assassins in the entirety of the Trench. An accomplishment made even more impressive when compared to its competition comprised of individuals of various species, skills, abilities, and sometimes even supernatural powers.
Failures & Embarrassments
Despite being one of the best, 66-13 has been beaten out on jobs before by its competitors. Although it possessess great skill and relisance in combat, there have been encounters in which 66-13 has been dismantled. Sometimes, the damage was so severe that it just narrowly avoiding being sent to the scrapyard.
Intellectual Characteristics
66-13's AI is vastly improved over the standard Ranger model. Allowing for complex problem-solving and unorthodox solutions, though it still acts in the most energy-efficient manner. That being said, 66-13 frequently takes actions and strategies that look suicidal to outside observers. But 66-13 can react faster than any living being, it knows its body's and equipment's exact tolerances, and performs risker maneuvers than any human would dare attempt.
Because it processes information faster than living beings, it can copy an opponent's moves and entire fighting style just by observation.
Taboos
No job is off the board for 66-13 for it has no morals to hold it back.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Like most mercenaries, 66-13 is motivated by money. But what makes 66-13 interesting is what does a robot want with money? Aside from that, 66-13 has an obsession with maintaining its success record. It is perfectly happy to forfeit all monetary rewards in exchange for the reputation merits associated with a job's completion.
Virtues & Personality perks
66-13 is a quiet and cold indivdual who completely dedicates itself to its objectives.
Vices & Personality flaws
True it its programmig, 66-13 is callous, unfeeling, and without empathy or mercy. Despite its ability to think freely and outside the box, 66-13 likes to follow with strict adherence to the rules of its current assignment and the regulations of the Bondsmen's Guild. Because of its primary function as an assassin, it will always execute its target unless specified to do otherwise by the client.
Personality Quirks
While an emotionless killer, small glitches in its reprogramming have led to the creation of a blunt and self-aware personality.
66-13 also holds an odd degree of interest in fellow hunters whose skill it considers equal to its own. When at the Bondsmen's Guild headquarters in between jobs, 66-13 can be found standing in a corner of the room. Devoting one of its many optic sensors solely to observing a singular individual who has its interest. None of the other bounty hunters know why 66-13 does this, but there is speculation among them why. They suggest that assuming 66-13 also records these special colleagues while fighting alongside them, it learns from them so that it can eventually beat them.
Hygiene
66-13 maintains its body and equipment. Making repairs where needed in between jobs. It loots the bodies of Rangers for spare parts.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Originally acting as a freelancer, 66-13 is a member of the Bondsman's Guild solely for the benefits included. Namely mitigating the risk of competitor interference when on a job.
Social Aptitude
66-13 has a very laconic approach to its duties. Only wanting the most direct and vital of information from its clients and it answers only with such. Despite its ability to learn, 66-13 does not understand metaphor and takes everything literally. Often pointing out the logical inconsistencies of the metaphor in question when used in its present circumstances.
Its strict adheance to the regulations of the Bondsmen's Guild has prevented it from frequently double-crossing its clients who may have a bounty on their own heads upon the completion of its current contract with them.
Mannerisms
66-13 moves in a very stiff and robotic way and wastes no energy with unnecessary movement.
66-13's tone is painfully direct and does not use any figures of speech.
