Home to many hardworking peoples the main trade of the Mythshirite is the farmer. Over 70% of the population work in the fertile fields of the surrounding hills, mainly harvesting grains like wheat and barley. The residents of Mythshire have a firece loyalty to their Earl, Sir Barbery Tamber due to her heroism durring the Emberhold invasion. Mythshire in essence, is a quiant farming village harboring deep scars and prejudices from wars past.

Industry & Trade

Grains like wheat and barley make up most of the products of Mythshire, before the invasion, the harvest trade brought in huge amounts of gold, but currently the village struggles to even feed all of it's own citizens. 1 out of every 5 mills has yet to be repared from the sacking, and a declining population makes the future of Mythshire apear grim.

History

Proclaimed as a true village in 545 A.S.C. after the newly constructed Diamond Road brought more farmer's to the region, The Village of Mythshire sprung up in and around the lands of the earls House Tamber, who ruled from a small stone keep. The Town of Mythshire has a long and storied history as a tradepost between the major cities of SteepStone and Destinwald. In the last century, Mythshire was infamously ravaged in the Emberhold invasion when a legion of Fey warriors raided the town. In a now famous act of heroism, the Earl of Mythshire Barbery Tamber invited hundreds of commoners into her keep to take refuge. What came next was a devestating 2 month siege to laid by the Fey in an attempt to starve the people out. In a legendary act of compasison, Sir Barbery gave her own rations to some of the peasant children in the keep waiting out the siege. As food dwindled, The Earl of Mythshire started to feed on her own fingers rather than see her people starved. Eventually the siege was lifted and when the dust settled only 23 people had parished, either by starvation or at the hands of the Fey. The village however, was utterly destroyed, fields burned, buildings raised, houses ransacked. The damage so devistating that Mythshire has yet to recover 50 years later.

Prejudice

After the Emberhold invasion, when Feyfolk from the Windrisil Wood attacked the Dawnlands, the Town of Mythshire has harbored a deep resentment against any who have fey ancestry driving them from their village, even those who predated the attack.
