Yuto Shimizu

An Insurgent that infiltrated Okuninushi Corporation and fed information to rebel organisations, specifically to those on Ningen-2.

Early Life

Shimizu was born on Tengu Prime but traveled a lot in his childhood. His father was a diplomat in the employ of the Shogunate and took his son along with him, since he had no wife and Yuto's mother was not interested in taking care of her son.

Shimizu therefore learned the in and outs of the buissines from a young age. His father was partially responsioble for communication between the Shogunate supervisors and the workers on Ningen-2 so he saw the suffering of the miners first hand. He felt for them but his father advised him not to speak of his feelings infront of other employees. Having grown up around diplomats and having grown into one himself, he was the obvious choice for his fathers successor when he retired.

Career and Rebel Involvement

For the first few years in his position, Shimizu laid low and did what was expected of him. Slowly, however, he began to share more information with the workers on Ningen-2 while hiding certain things from his supervisors. He informed them off upcoming contraband checks, patrol schedules and suprise inspections. This made it possible for workers to smuggle weapons on planet and plan an uprising. The miners revolted and although the riot was ultimately unsuccessful it got the attention of the public which forced the corporation to provide their workers with better equipment and pay.

Discovery and Sentence

Shimizu's involvement was discovered shortly after the riot and he was fired from his position. He later disapeared under mysterious circumstances and it is presumed that he was hunted down and executed for treason.

Legacy

Many insugents and rebels view him as a martyr, having died for doing the right thing. Many also consider Shimizu to be the first "Ronin". An emnployee that betrayed the company and susequently became a fugutive.
