Algathi
Algathi, Old God
Algathi, beast of oblivion, formerly known as Shak-la has a complicated story so I am going to split it into parts.
Part I: Birth
the following is an excerpt from the origin story of the original plane written by Ornesta Morthin "Long before the plains existed there was only space, space and the two gods Nebula, and Shak-la. Shak-la and Nebula spent their time hand-crafting stars and playing with their powers. Shak-la and Nebula fell deeply in love and ended up giving birth to triplets. The first child was Xozotl who created the ground we live on, the second child was Shakren who created the sky for us to breath, and then there was the third which died at birth disfigured and purple from suffocating on his own umbilical cord, he was named Algathi who gave us death. Shak-la and Nebula were devastated by their child’s death and hid it from their other two children who played with the world they created together. Shak-la went to confront his father, the head of the titans and the ruler of the afterlife, to ask for his help to revive Algathi. Shak-la’s father declined but said he could give him a new child in return, one that would have been Algathi had he grown up, not wanting to upset Nebula with his failure, Shak-la agreed. Shak-la returned to Nebula with an identical child and told her that they must refer to him with a different name so as to not remind him of his own death. Nebula agreed and they settled on the name Reztuk who gave the first humans’ life."
Part II: The Pact
The Following is an excerpt from a story told to children on the original plane "Algathi floated in nothingness, a deep darkness that expanded forever. Algathi's mind was dazed drifting in and out of consciousness as he drank in the void around him. Algathi fell into a deep slumber. Algathi opened his eyes to a darkness deeper than the void in the shape of a human. 'Hello Algathi,I have something to show you'. The figure made a motion as if to tear open the darkness like a piece of fabric and surprisingly the darkness parted to show a scene before him. The opening showed his father replacing Algathi with an imposter made by The Titan. This infuriated Algathi. The figure closed the portal 'I've come to make a deal with you, a deal to get revenge on those that wronged you, all you have to do, is do a few small things for me, do we have a deal?'. Algathi attempted to say yes but he had no mouth to say it, the figure seemed to understand though and vanished. Algathi came to in his father's body, he had somehow possessed Shak-la"
Part III: Possession
Algathi managed to possess his father and became bound to a physical body from the pact he made with the shadowy figure. Algathi would go on to wage war on all of humanity on the original plane. Algathi's first appearance caused the destruction of the golden city and his mere prescience cause many humans to mutate into most of the humanoid races we know today. Algathi's warping of humans eventually lead to the creation of demons and tieflings as well.
Part IV: Imprisonment
During the final days of the original plane humanity and the gods teamed up to form the Arnimis. The following is an excerpt from the end of days written by Ornesta Morthin. "The day before the last The Nightmare appeared to Niall Aznar in his dreams with a deal. A deal to imprison Algathi using The Nightmare's own strength along with Niall Aznar's original plans. Niall Aznar agreed...""...The Demon horde was nearly over the walls when the spell finally hit the towering beast. The demons all froze as Algathi was covered in a blackness darker than black. Algathi's form vanished and the sun turned black, the Demons doubled their push enraged by the black sun. The Remnants of the Arnimis fled the original plane to their new home, Dicrilia."
