Summer Camp Preparation Battle Station 25

Hello, everyone. With summer camp just around the corner, we're still stuck doing homework when we shouldn't have to. So we have to deal with it before the fun starts in July. Here are my plans for camp this year. Hopefully, I'll be able to get started a lot faster when it arrives in July, as that's when all sorts of trouble usually starts. All I know now is that I have been trying to get back to my roots with The Sagas and updating everything I can find in the old files, as well as keeping up with my Challengathon if anyone decides to join them. All the while, without getting too tired or procrastinating. So, here are my plans to excite you all with my ideas for this upcoming camp trip, which will finish with a diamond, just like every other year.

Week of Nurishment

Look Back At Motives

Let's discuss ways to nurture the hunger for ideas that readers crave about the world. For those who have read through much of my writing, I have left out many areas that remain unexplored. Many of you are itching to learn more about them, and we will get there. But for now, I will be going back to expanding on the first continent, the Continent of Kinath and expanding the states and factions that live there in ways of their cultures that make them what they are, as well as some magic to boot. I have dabbled in food, faith, and knowledge; I might as well go deeper this July. All I have to do is start with a clear mind, avoid overthinking, and go with whatever flow comes with it.

Pledge Supremacy

Once more, it's diamonds for me to make it out in the end, sparkling with everyone else in the name of creativity and fun.

Updating Search

I have to say I have been re-editing a lot of articles lately. Some of them are small, with tweaks here and there, and then there are the complete overhauls that take a while to piece together to fit everything just right. This has happened since then, and I will continue until I am satisfied. Yes, I understand that the meta has to be done sooner or later, but I would rather not repeatedly bang my head on the desk to piece everything together when you can just read what I wrote. All in all, I'll incorporate whatis necessary to tie in with the content that will be presented at summer camp this July.

Week of Roots

On Focus

Now then, since I am going to be working on the regions of Kineth, I will probably be setting my sights on the Eastern Lands more than the Western Lands this time around, as it is a harsh and treacherous place to be like in forcing its people to be smart and go to various extremes to get by or live in areas that can sustain them. It's understandable considering that much of the region has desert and limited water. This leads to cultures fighting for survival every day, and it is not for the weak, in one of the harshest places people can live. But there will be some places in the west I may also look into if it ever crosses my mind when the moment comes. It will be an inspiring time, as my plans have drifted in and out of my head.

Thoughts of Homepage

Now here we go again about my homepage and all of its glory, as seen from the perspective of a first-time visitor to its vast archive. Everything is pretty much organized and placed in its proper place. Yet the idea of improvement lingers as I seek to inspire the founding world that started it all. So I might also get a primer to organize things better and have someone get a better scope. I have been trying to figure out how to add some CSS in specific places to make it stand out more, if that helps. But it should take some time to find someone who can get it right and create something special for me and everyone else.

Early Roots Revisted

From what I remember of my early days of worldbuilding, I tried to expand as much detail as possible to make myself stand out, and I wrote enough that it overwhelmed anyone reading. I wanted to make it as detailed as possible, so I left out the part of letting it breathe in life with what I had. I still write a lot, but add enough detail and imagery to let readers explore and breathe it all in. The idea is not to make it into a textbook you find in history class, but to give enough info to keep the ball rolling when writing the story you want to write. Show enough to keep people invested without losing their way across your world.

Week of Metamorphosis

Times Are Changing

A lot of things have been happening in The Sagas. Still, with its center in Kineth, it's just a complete mess with war and unrest in the west, with the Vatian Empire barely being able to keep everything in order as its old systems have been crumbling for centuries now. Its recent conquest of Ardania has not helped, as it has left its forces thinned out, and rebels are rampant to free their homeland. The East is no better either, as the deadly Withering Sands have claimed the lives of many, and ships vital for trade to the city states have been limited with fear of infection that has no cure. The desert has also become increasingly restless of late, as residents of this desolate place are now suffering fierce sandstorms that swallow up entire settlements and dry up watering holes, forcing them to head to the coast, which is already overcrowded. The whole continent is on the verge of collapse if things can't be stopped, which could plunge it into another dark age not seen in a millennium.

Inspiration Run

Here's the thing about me: when it comes to inspiration, I can get it from just about anything I can get my hands on, whether it's historical or fictional, mainstream or obscure. I will have it deep in my mind and rarely forget it, unlike someone's name, but who hasn't done that with people you barely know or see? I find myself adrift in a sea of endless possibilities, wondering what can be achieved with the realms of imagination. But for the time being, I have been looking back on the olden days of cinema and literature, looking upon the art of so many painters that bring warmth and haunt one's soul. But for the time being, I have picked a new book series called Red Rising that breathes the idea that a hero must become a monster to do right in a world filled with injustice, where no one's hands are clean. It is one of many journeys that I set out on, and will not be the last, as every ending goes onto a new beginning, no matter how much time has passed.

Kena'an

A World Forged in Balance. A World Shaped by Conflict

Make love, not war has created a well-designed and well-written world at odds with light and darkness colliding with its inhabitants. It is filled with stunning artwork and is well organized regarding where to look for things, in great detail, I might add. It gives you enough to explore and has you reeled right in, looking at fantastic writing as powers arrive to decide its fate.
Niorath
Kefkejaco creates a world deep in magic and science, with enough history and culture to make it a compelling world to follow as powers clash to achieve supremacy over one another. Most of these people have their motives and a lot of grey areas regarding what they are willing to do to maintain their power. Yet it begs whether history will repeat itself; their struggles have destroyed the world countless times in a clash with well-developed histories, and the characters struggle to keep their societies from being obliterated in the grand scheme.
Yonderverse

A bright and bustling universe, made with love

Explore the endless planets brimming with life in the Yonderverse! Go after creatures, discover new places, and learn about the people you find along the way.

Mochimanoban brings you into a fantastical universe filled with wonders and horrors in a vast sea of stars with many planets and creatures of every shape and size. It is a place brimming with so many ideas, and the setup in connecting everything with everything makes it one of the most remarkable worlds I have ever seen. It's all quite mind-boggling that it's managed to keep itself together, as you can just get lost in place as if you were traveling across the cosmos.

Week of Tomorrow

A Darker Future

Things are not going well in the Western Lands as a larger conflict seems to be looming that could easily change, not seen in centuries, that could decide the fate of the Vatian Empire in the coming years, as its enemies are gathering from all sides. The rebellion in Ardania is the key to breaking its power, as groups such as the Hyperion League and looming conflict with the Kingdom of Norria are preparing for whatever outcome. Many in the empire have also realized this, with many demanding radical change or strengthening political power to form a new triumvirate to end the crisis. Yet other darker powers seem to be looming and seek to exploit the rising chaos. There also appears to be another player in the game who aims to stop this madness from going further, yet one must wonder whose side they are truly on.

Writing Preparations

Well, if this Summer Camp is like any other one, I will be working most of the time, but I can still write as much as possible in my spare time. So, when given the chance, there will probably be a lot of quick naps and long nights. My trusted writing space will be my laptop for quick writing, thanks to flat keyboards that let you write with ease, and a trusty recliner to help me relax and avoid stiff, cramped legs after long hours. I should be good at the layout of my writing since I'm quick on my feet, and they have been lurking around my head for a while now. I have to deal with all the numerous stubs, which I just haven't bothered to write with yet.

A Helping Hand

When I started writing, I never had anyone to support me. My family never really understood it unless I was making money from it. I may have the most lucrative job right now since I can afford to go anywhere like most people, but I manage to keep doing what I love on my terms and with the willpower I can muster. But I never really tried to reach out to the community much, as I'm busy working or just trying to relax with what time I have. But I have been willing to change all of that recently and plan on chatting with you at this camp if I get the chance. I have updated my Discord channel. If you're interested in sharing tips and tricks, please use the link below to let me know, and I'll see you all at this summer camp soon. Jester's Court, a place to chat and explore

Another Summer Gone By

Welcome to another summer camp that's come and gone, and I'd like to salute all who have achieved their goals. To those who didn't, you have tried and are closer to reaching your goal than ever before, so next year will be a blast. As for myself, I have managed to get my goal and have a lovely little diamond on my wall of other previous camps as my crowning achievement. I had a few more personal issues to deal with this time around, mainly exhaustion, causing me to fall asleep at the keyboard, but I managed to do well with some speed writing. So now it's time to lie back and chill for a bit till I get the chance to edit again.
No, as for plans, I just keep working on old articles that need fixing and make a few new ones along the way. Along with continuing my year-long challenge competition Challengathon, A Year of Challenges, which has been getting some mixed reviews for some reason, despite the community backing it, just a few fewer articles than expected. But hey, this is just an experiment, so trial and error helps us take out the kinks and make things better. A bit of feedback from anyone would be appreciated, if they have a moment. That is all for the time being in my neck of the woods, as now is the time to look about at achievements and contemplate ensuring the next summer camp is better than ever. Now, if you excuse me, I need to look over some great articles from the rest of the community that I have been meaning to look at for while now for some good summer reads.

While it is quite evident that I would be back with the Dewies this year, you may think I have been a bot, too, to be feral. But let me tell you something: there is always a time and a place to do something wild, and that time is coming soon, and there is no way of stopping it.
